Quick Summary
- โข Choose one of three starters at the Rot Lab: Triple T Sahur, Fluri Flura, or Boneca Ambalabu
- โข Battle wild Brainrots using the Energy system โ Charge to gain Energy, then use abilities
- โข Defeat or catch Brainrots to add them to your collection
- โข Explore zones: Rot Forest โ Snow Forest Zone 1 โ Snow Forest Zone 2
- โข Each route has fixed-level Brainrots and chests โ zones do NOT scale with your level
Step 1: Controls & Movement
If you experience motion sickness, enable the Motion Sickness Mode added on July 14 in the settings menu.
Step 2: Choose Your Starter
At the Rot Lab, you choose your first Brainrot from three options:
Defensive starter. Best for beginners. Recommended loadout: Shield + Bomb.
Balanced stats. Flexible ability pool. Good for unsure players.
High damage potential. Fragile but rewarding. Recommended: Shield + Bomb.
Step 3: Battle System โ Energy & Charge
Unlike Pokรฉmon-style games, Catch a Brainrot does NOT use PP (Power Points). Instead, it uses an Energy/Charge system:
- Charge โ Your only free action. Generates 1 Energy per use.
- Abilities โ Cost between 2 and 6 Energy to use.
- Strategy โ Charge up first, then unleash powerful abilities.
Best Abilities
Important
Abilities are assigned randomly per catch. You cannot reroll them. If you catch a Brainrot with Shield + Bomb, keep it โ that is a top-tier loadout.
Step 4: Catching Brainrots
Wild Brainrots roam each zone. To catch one:
- Approach a wild Brainrot โ get close enough to start a battle
- Battle using the Energy/Charge system โ weaken the Brainrot without defeating it
- Use a Rot Box โ your catch item. Higher-tier Rot Boxes improve success rates
- Win โ if successful, the Brainrot joins your collection
Tip: Catch vs. Defeat
Catching and selling duplicates gives 5x more Coins than defeating them. Always try to catch!
Step 5: Zone Progression
The game has 3 main catchable zones, each with unique Brainrots at fixed levels:
20 species. Your starting area. Common to Epic rarities.
12 species. Includes the first Insane-rarity Brainrot (Torrtuginni Dragonfrutinni).
13 species. Higher-level Insane Brainrot: Graipussi Medussi.
Each zone also contains chests with items. Progress is unlocked by exploring โ look for Secret Keys to access late sections.
Pro Tips
- Energy management is everything โ Charge is free. Build Energy before using expensive abilities. Grow a Garden (5E) is the best investment.
- Duplicates = money โ Catching the same Brainrot twice and selling the duplicate gives 5x the coins of defeating it.
- Offline progression โ Your base generates coins even while you are logged out. Check back regularly to collect.
- No level scaling โ Each route has fixed-level Brainrots. If an area is too hard, grind coins in an earlier zone and upgrade your Rot Box.
