PvP vs. PvE Moveset Tier Power

In Catch a Brainrot, a creature's battle effectiveness depends as much on its rolled moveset as its base rarity tier. Below is how competitive players rank abilities across PvP duels and PvE boss progression:

PvP Duel PrioritiesFast & Unblockable

  • Tier S: Shield (2E) โ€” Negates 100% incoming burst, creates counter-attack turn advantages.
  • Tier S: Bomb (4E) โ€” Decisive finisher after breaking opponent shields.
  • Tier A: Zap (3E) / Shoot (2E) โ€” Instant hit priority, preventing opponent stalls.

PvE Boss & Farming PrioritiesSustain & Heavy Burst

  • Tier S: Grow a Garden (5E) โ€” Heavy nuke that melts multi-phase bosses like Goatini Freezini.
  • Tier A: Heal (2E) โ€” Essential for survival in long boss endurance fights.
  • Tier B: Splash / Feathers (2E) โ€” Controlled chipping for catching rare wilds without KO.

Tier List FAQ

What do the rarity tiers mean?

Rarity determines spawn rate and base XP. Common = 50 XP, Uncommon = 75 XP, Rare = 100 XP, Epic = 150 XP. Insane Brainrots are the rarest with only 1 spawn in specific zones.

How do I catch higher rarity Brainrots?

You need upgraded Rot Boxes. Better Rot Boxes increase your catch success rate against Rare and Epic Brainrots. You also need to progress to later zones.

Is there a secret "Illegal" Brainrot?

There are community rumors about an "Illegal" Brainrot not listed on official boards. Currently, it is not obtainable in-game โ€” see the Illegal Brainrot deep-dive in the Related Guides below for the full story.

What are the best abilities?

Grow a Garden (5 Energy) is widely considered the best. Shield (2E), Bomb (4E), and Heal (2E) are also top-tier. Abilities are assigned randomly per catch.
